Community Super Bowl Squares 2022

EV Construction Hosts Super Bowl-Themed Fundraiser to Support Organizations with Youth at the Center of their Mission
Friendly competition to grant $7,500 to West Michigan and Coldwater-based non-profit organizations.

HOLLAND, Mich. (Feb. 4, 2022)EV Construction, a nationwide leading provider of construction management services, is giving back to local organizations that support organizations that seek to better the lives of youth in West Michigan. Twenty entities in West Michigan and 20 entities in Coldwater have been selected for this year’s Super Bowl Squares competition.

Each selected organization has been randomly assigned five squares on the Super Bowl Squares game board at no cost to them, giving each nonprofit five chances to win. Each winner will receive a $500 donation following the results of the Super Bowl, with donations totaling $7,500 for the evening. EV Construction wants to spread the wealth, so organizations will be limited to one prize; if any nonprofit wins more than once, or if the game does not go into overtime and the fourth quarter winner and final score winner are the same, there will be a random draw at the end of the game to select a new winner for that quarter’s prize money. Each donation also has the potential to be doubled; participating organizations simply need to share a social post about the program prior to the start of the game to qualify for double the winnings.

“As always we are excited to host this unique opportunity and friendly competition that will benefit local organizations doing good in our community,” shared Mike Novakoski, President and CEO of EV Construction. “This year, we are adding the social media layer to grow the program further, increase potential winnings and draw more attention to the amazing work these nonprofits do.”

As EV Construction’s location in Holland is the largest of its offices, as well as its original headquarters, winnings for West Michigan non-profits could reach $5,000. The company’s satellite office in Coldwater will have a bank of $2,500 to award in their area.

“We thank EV Construction for choosing us to be part of their Super Bowl Squares event,” said Jessica Vander Kolk, Director of Development at the GENEVA Camp and Retreat Center. “What a fun and great way to invest in youth in our community – we are so excited to be involved and will be cheering for our squares this weekend.”

Follow EV Construction’s Facebook page for real-time updates on winners and scores during Super Bowl Sunday, February 13. Donations will be distributed beginning the week of February 14th.

This is the sixth year that EV Construction has hosted the friendly competition, with its inaugural event having taken place in 2016. In 2021, the competition supported local restaurants by purchasing gift cards from the ten winners throughout Holland, Zeeland and Coldwater. The gift cards were then donated to healthcare workers or first responders in each region, bringing joy amidst the Covid-19 pandemic. Other groups that have benefited from the program in years past include the company’s trade contracting partners, workforce development agencies and other subsets of non-profit organizations. To date, EV Construction has donated more than $25,000 to community and industry partners via this program.
