Western Theological Seminary - Learning Commons

Western Theological Seminary’s (WTS) new Learning Commons was a complex project that required extensive abatement and major demolition, a complete overhaul of mechanical systems and intricate finish details, all while surrounded by spaces was occupied by students and staff.

Over 18 months, the 25,000-SF two-story Learning Commons was created from the ground up. From carpentry, misc. steel and interior work, our trades staff played an important role in the completion of WTS’s newest addition. More dated portions of WTS were renovated, including the kitchen and main entrance, resulting in 27,000-SF of updated, more welcoming space.

The completed project now houses several renovated classrooms, conference rooms, administrative offices, an elevator and a beautiful library. After completing the Learning Commons, our team tore down the old library, which was previously the tallest building in Holland, MI. Brick by brick the library was successfully taken down and turned into green space for all to enjoy.
